By early 1964, the Mustang rolled off the assembly lines with its official introduction at the 1964 New York World's Fair and also garnered attention as the pace car at the 1964 Indianapolis 500. The fully-sculpted, fine resin Mustang is hand-painted in the traffic-stopping, high-gloss red that sizzled in showrooms and at stoplights. Designed for display only, the car is moulded onto a striking glossy black wood base emblazoned with "1965 Ford Mustang" and red pinstripes. Creating a stylish and functional backdrop are dual gauges - an analogue clock and working indoor thermometer.
